Bert Burger
Country economist for the Asia-Pacific region. Expertise: macroeconomics, international trade, geopolitics and country risk.
When accepting new transactions, a country risk assessment is essential, especially if there is political unrest, a poor security situation or weak external or public finances. On this, Bert Burger advises his colleagues within ADSB and the state. He also participates in OECD consultations. Before joining Atradius in 2015, he worked for 25 years at banks and research firms, where he was responsible for market views and investment portfolios in turbulent times. Bert studied Economic Geography at the University of Amsterdam.
The deterioration of the geopolitical environment makes country risk analysis indispensable.
