Expanded Export Credit Insurance available for Ukraine

Expanding the scheme

Export credit insurance conditions have been expanded for Ukraine. Defence transactions have recently become eligible for cover. In addition, the maximum cover percentage for political and commercial risks has been increased to 98%.
By enabling export credit insurance for Ukraine, bilateral trade and reconstruction of the country are stimulated together with the Dutch businesses.

Doing business in and exporting to Ukraine comes with risks, including financial ones. To still enable trade, reconstruction and investment, the knowledge and expertise of Dutch companies and exporters is needed. That is why the government has made available a support package for Ukraine. Among other things, this will ensure export transactions. A number of exporters have already made use of this scheme. Applications can be submitted to Atradius Dutch State Business. Much is the same as normal. Transactions are assessed for all the usual risks, safety first of course, but also financial risks, environmental and social risks and relevant compliance risks. The normal rules for the minimum domestic component also apply. Applications are welcome from both SMEs and large companies for all usual products, but it may be that a maximum per transaction will be applied given the limited availability of funds.

This facility only applies to public export credit insurance on behalf of the Dutch State and carried out by Atradius Dutch State Business.
