For applications related to sustainable fuels, an assessment is made of the extent to which the fuel in question aligns with the definitions set forth in the Renewable Energy Directive (RED III). This includes, among other things, biofuels, bioliquids, biomass fuels, and renewable fuels of non-biological origin (RFNBOs). Attention is also paid to the fuel’s origin and its relationship to import flows, as well as its contribution to European and Dutch sustainability goals.
