Growing Across Borders - Sept. 27, 2023 - Looking back on a successful event full of insights.
After a hiatus of several years due to the pandemic, we were pleased to once again host the "Growing Across Borders" seminar. This occasion brought together entrepreneurs, financial institutions, government representatives and other stakeholders.
In his opening remarks, our managing director, Bert Bruning, emphasized the great importance of supporting Dutch exporters in their international efforts. Focco Vijselaar - Director of VNO-NCW, talked about the importance of the innovative power of the Dutch manufacturing industry on an international level. He addressed the opportunities and challenges for Dutch exporters, taking into account the geopolitical context that entrepreneurs face. Ultimately, a significant part of prosperity in the Netherlands is earned abroad and export is then an important facilitator. |
During the breakout session, panel discussions provided insight into doing business in the Middle East, Latin America, Asia and Africa. Presentations were given on financing, safe business and doing business in conflict zones, and there were sector-specific panel discussions that addressed opportunities in renewable energy, water, circular economy and agri-food.

These discussions highlighted the synergy between financial institutions, businesses and sustainability, and demonstrated how responsible finance can create positive change within various sectors.
Looking back on this event, it becomes clear that our shared commitment to promoting international trade and sustainable solutions is undiminished.
