Theo Smid
Theo Smid works as an economist and country risk specialist at ADSB. His areas of focus are the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Turkey and several Eastern European countries.
Theo has been with ADSB since 2016. He is involved in writing periodical publications, such as the Economic Outlook, and publications on macroeconomic topics, such as bankruptcies, trade and the energy market. Theo also regularly gives interviews to the media. He previously worked as an economist at Rabobank and SEO Economic Research. Theo studied general economics at Tilburg University and international relations at the University of Cape Town.
