Niels de Hoog
Niels de Hoog analyzes political and economic developments in emerging economies in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) and in several countries in East and Central Africa. Since many countries in this region depend on energy imports and exports, Niels also closely follows developments surrounding the global energy transition.
Niels started his career at Atradius in 2017. Before that, he worked for several central banks and a strategic consulting firm. Currently, Niels uses his financial-economic insight to interpret market developments and identify opportunities and risks at country level. Niels is the author of several publications and received his Master of Science degree in economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
