Export credit insurance available for Ukraine

AMSTERDAM, 6 October 2023 – The outgoing cabinet has presented a new support package for Ukraine.
20 Mar 2024

The most important part of the new package is export credit insurance. This will work with the Dutch business community to promote bilateral trade and reconstruction of the country.

Doing business in and exporting to Ukraine comes with risks, including financial ones. The knowledge and expertise of Dutch companies and exporters is needed to make trade, reconstruction and investment possible after all. This is why the outgoing Cabinet has proposed to make €60 million available to Ukraine as part of the third 2023 aid package to secure up to €120 million in export transactions. Applications can be submitted now to Atradius Dutch State Business. Much is the same as usual. Transactions will of course be assessed for all the usual risks, safety first of course, but also financial risks, environmental and social risks and relevant compliance risks. The normal minimum domestic component rules will also apply. Applications are welcome from both SMEs and large companies for all common products, but it may be that given the limited availability of funds, a maximum per transaction will apply. Such details are yet to be worked out, please report especially if you are interested, this will again help us in working out the policy.

This facility applies only to public export credit insurance on behalf of the Dutch State and carried out by Atradius Dutch State Business.
